Sibec UK's 2014 10th anniversary celebrations

A partnership with ukactive, a football legend and a golf day are all part of Sibec UK's 2014 10th anniversary celebrations.

Buyers and suppliers are in for a real treat at Sibec UK next year.

To complement the traditional two days of face to face meetings, attendees can enjoy an evening with Sir Geoff Hurst, one of England’s most celebrated footballers, and an optional round of golf on the prestigious Brabazon course.

In addition, ukactive has agreed a partnership with organisers, Questex-McLean Events, which will see the two organisations working together to deliver a 10th anniversary Sibec UK not to be missed.

David Zarb Jenkins, event director said: "We are very excited to announce that Sir Geoff Hurst will be joining delegates for dinner to mark the events 10 year birthday.

"Most will remember Sir Geoff Hurst for his incredible hat-trick contribution to the 4:2 victory against Germany in the 1966 World Cup final. Delegates will hear how it felt to win that World Cup and will have a chance to pose questions to one of England’s football legends."

On the day prior to the face to face meeting schedule, the Sibec team will also host an optional golf day, offering delegates an opportunity to relax and get to know each other socially.

The event will include an organised Stableford competition, taking place on the prestigious, world-class, Brabazon course, dinner and prize giving followed by overnight accommodation.

Jenkins added: "Golf offers the perfect prelude to the traditional event. Sibec UK is all about creating an environment where people can relax and enjoy the company of other industry professionals. I suspect as much business will be conducted on the golf course as off it!"

In addition to these exciting developments, Questex-McLean is also pleased to announce a partnership with ukactive.

David Stalker, CEO at ukactive, said: "Sibec UK provides a vital platform for operators and suppliers to discuss collaborative opportunities in a professional yet relaxed environment.

"The formula has been successful for 10 years and I am looking forward to a more formal relationship with what has become one of our sector’s most beneficial events."

The 2014 event will take place May 20 to 21 and will be hosted by The Belfry in the Midlands.

The venue has been a long term partner of the event and is currently undergoing a £5million refurbishment. Offering the perfect mix of professionalism and relaxation, the Belfry provides the ideal setting to conduct business.
